What is blush?
Blush adds color and dimension to your face. It can give different impressions based on both the shade and blush placement you choose. To give fullness to the cheeks, you can apply the blush on the apple of your cheeks. If you want a lifted or "snatched" impression, you can apply the blush slightly higher on the cheekbone. That will create immediate dimension and make your face look more sculpted.
Choosing the right blush shade
An old trick to choosing a flattering blush shade is to look at your skin's undertone and pick a shade with a similar undertone. If you have a cool undertone, a blush on the cooler side (like a baby pink) might feel best, while a warm undertone might feel better in a warmer blush shade (like a terracotta). However, this is just a guideline and not a rule. We don't do rules here.
The best blush shade for you is the one that makes you feel confident, fun, empowered or however you thrive to feel. How to apply blush
There are many ways to apply your blush depending on the makeup product's formula and your personal preference. Our Artistick multi-use sticks can be applied either with a brush, a sponge or dabbed on with your fingers for more coverage.
Applying a powder blush, like our Duo dimension palette, is easily applied with a big fluffy brush.
If you want to use your Crayon to create a monochrome look with the same shade on both lips and cheeks, you can warm the product on the back of your hand. Pick up product with a sponge or a brush and apply it to your cheeks.
